Grimsby edges out Bradford in a closely fought match
Grimsby secured a 2-1 victory over Bradford in an exciting match at Blundell Park.
The match began at a frenetic pace, with Grimsby taking the lead in the 28th minute when D. Rose scored the first goal. Bradford attempted to respond, but Grimsby maintained their advantage until halftime.
In the second half, J. Svanthorsson extended Grimsby’s lead in the 47th minute. Bradford refused to give up and O. Sanderson pulled one back in the 78th minute, but they were unable to find an equalizer.
Grimsby was more clinical in attack and dominated possession. Bradford had more chances on goal but failed to capitalize. The game was marked by yellow cards, with a total of 7 for Grimsby and 5 for Bradford.
