Genk comes from behind to beat Club Brugge in a thrilling match
Genk defeated Club Brugge KV 4-2 in a lively match at the Cegeka Arena. The home side started with more intensity and went ahead thanks to a brace from Anders Skov Olsen in the 44th and 60th minutes. However, Genk reacted strongly after bringing on several players at the start of the second half.
In the 67th minute, Jorgen Steuckers pulled one back with a penalty. Just minutes later, T. Arokodare levelled the score in the 83rd minute. Genk completed the comeback with goals from P. Hrosovsky in the 90th minute and J. Steuckers in the 67th.
The match was marked by intensity and yellow cards. H. Vetlesen of Club Brugge KV was booked in the 15th minute, while K. Nkuba of Genk received his yellow card in the 37th. C. Tzolis of Club Brugge also saw a yellow card in the 75th.
