Galatasaray defeats Kasimpasa in a thrilling match
Istanbul, September 28, 2024 – Galatasaray defeated Kasimpasa 4-3 in a thrilling match on the seventh round of the Süper Lig. The game, played at Rams Park Stadyumu, was marked by intensity and excitement, with goals from both sides and a nail-biting finish.
The match started with a dominating Galatasaray, who opened the scoring in the 20th minute with a goal from Victor Osimhen, assisted by Abdülkerim Bardakci. Osimhen scored again just eight minutes later, this time with the help of Gabriel Sara. Galatasaray’s third goal came in the 34th minute, courtesy of Mauro Icardi, following an assist from Ivan Jakobs.
Kasimpasa reacted in the 44th minute, with a goal from Mouhamadou Fall assisted by Claudio Winck, but Galatasaray seemed to have the game under control.
However, in the second half, Kasimpasa came out all guns blazing and managed to tie the score with a penalty from Haris Hajradinovic in the 83rd minute. The visiting team was not satisfied with the draw and managed to score again in the 90th minute with a goal from Nabil Da Costa, assisted by Haris Hajradinovic.
But Galatasaray did not give up, and despite yellow cards received by Abdülkerim Bardakci, Dries Mertens, and Okan Buruk, they managed to keep the pressure on and secure the victory thanks to Victor Osimhen’s goal, completing a hat-trick, in the 20th minute of the game.
Despite the defeat, Kasimpasa put in a good performance, demonstrating their ability to compete against the top teams in the league. Next week, Galatasaray will face Fenerbahçe, while Kasimpasa will play against Trabzonspor.
