NEC Nijmegen beats Fortuna Sittard in an exciting match
Sittard, Netherlands – NEC Nijmegen defeated Fortuna Sittard by a convincing 3-0 scoreline in an exciting match played at the Fortuna Sittard Stadion. Goals from K. Ogawa, R. Gonzalez and S. Ouaissa sealed the victory for the visiting team.
NEC Nijmegen dominated possession for much of the encounter, with 52% compared to Fortuna Sittard’s 48%. The visitors were also more effective in attack, with 10 shots, 5 of which were on target, compared to Fortuna Sittard’s 12, of which only 1 was on target.

The visiting team continued to press and just five minutes later, in the 40th minute, R. Gonzalez extended the lead with a goal that gave NEC Nijmegen peace of mind.
Fortuna Sittard tried to react in the second half, but couldn’t find a way to goal. NEC Nijmegen, for their part, remained solid in defense and took advantage of one of the few opportunities they had in the second half to seal the game in the 88th minute. S. Ouaissa scored the 3-0 with a goal that put the final flourish on a convincing performance by NEC Nijmegen.
