Bayer Leverkusen crushes Feyenoord in a thrilling match
Bayer Leverkusen convincingly defeated Feyenoord 5-0 in a UEFA Champions League group stage match played at the Stadion Feijenoord in Rotterdam.
The match started at a frenetic pace, with Bayer Leverkusen taking the initiative from the first minute. In the second half, Feyenoord tried to reduce the deficit, but Leverkusen continued to be superior. The German team were able to score the fifth goal of the match in the 79th minute, thanks to a great shot by Wirtz that went into the rival goal.
Leverkusen finished the match with 49% possession and eight shots on goal, while Feyenoord had 12 shots on goal, but only three were on target.
Ultimately, Bayer Leverkusen was far superior to Feyenoord in all aspects of the game and achieved a resounding victory that allows them to start the Champions League group stage on the right foot.
