Everton Crushes Doncaster in League Cup
Everton decisively defeated Doncaster Rovers 4-0 in the League Cup second round, in a match played at Goodison Park.
The match started slowly, and it was in the second half that Everton began to dominate. Everton’s young talent, Thierry Iroegbunam, opened the scoring in the 53rd minute with a great goal assisted by Jesper Lindstrøm.
Doncaster tried to react, but Everton was superior in all aspects of the game. In the 74th minute, Ibrahima Ndiaye scored Everton’s second goal, assisted by Jack O’Brien, to seal the match.
Beto, who had come on as a substitute, sealed the rout with the third goal in the 84th minute, assisted by Vitaliy Mykolenko.
Everton dominated possession, took more shots and created more scoring chances. Doncaster’s defense was overwhelmed by the quality of Everton’s players.
The match ended with a resounding 4-0 victory for Everton, who qualify for the next round of the League Cup.
