El Nacional thrashed Cumbayá in a match full of emotions
Quito, Ecuador – El Nacional defeated Cumbayá 2-1 in a Liga Pro match in Ecuador that was marked by expulsions and emotions. The match, played at the Estadio Olímpico Atahualpa, had an electrifying start. El Nacional scored two goals in the first 23 minutes: first, G. J. Cortez Casierra opened the scoring in the 14th minute, followed by a penalty converted by J. Ordonez in the 23rd minute.
However, the match became complicated for El Nacional when M. Zuleta received a red card in the 25th minute. Despite being a man down, El Nacional managed to hold their lead until the end of the first half.
