Eibar edges out Tenerife in a hard-fought encounter
Eibar secured a narrow victory over Tenerife in an exciting match played at the Estadio Municipal de Ipurúa. The only goal of the game came in the 47th minute, courtesy of P. Nolaskoain, who finished off a well-timed pass to put the home side in front.
Eibar controlled the ball for a greater share of the first half (49%), but Tenerife remained undeterred and looked for a way to break through the opposition defense. The match was characterized by its intensity and the battle for possession.
In the second half, Tenerife attempted to equalize, but the Eibar defense held firm. The visitors created several chances but were unable to find the back of the net. Eibar, meanwhile, remained a threat going forward but failed to extend their lead.
The game was officiated by referee Álvaro Moreno Aragón. The referee showed a yellow card to one Eibar player and one Tenerife player.
With this win, Eibar earns three crucial points in their quest for promotion. Tenerife, on the other hand, leaves empty-handed from this round.
