CSKA Moscow crushes Akron in a dominant display
CSKA Moscow demonstrated their superiority over Akron in a match played at the VEB Arena in Moscow, for the sixth round of the Russian Premier League.
The home team dominated possession (52%) and was much more effective in attack, with a total of 24 shots, 10 of them on target. Akron, on the other hand, hardly generated any danger, with 6 shots, none of them on target.
CSKA opened the scoring in the 49th minute with a goal from Timur Musaev. Ilya Oblyakov extended the lead in the 60th minute and Moises sealed the game in the 82nd minute. Oblyakov scored his second goal from the penalty spot in the 87th minute, sealing a resounding 4-0 victory for CSKA.
The match was marked by the red card for Willyan Rocha in the 2nd minute for a yellow card. CSKA also received a yellow card, while Akron did not receive any cautions during the game.
