Celje defeats Shamrock Rovers in a low-scoring match
Celje beat Shamrock Rovers 1-0 in a UEFA Europa League 3rd qualifying round match played at the Stadion Z’dežele in Celje.
The only goal of the game came in the 34th minute from Luka Menalo, who took advantage of an assist to beat the opposing goalkeeper.
The match was marked by a lack of scoring chances and by a rough game that resulted in several yellow cards. Shamrock Rovers received three yellow cards, while Celje accumulated two.
Despite missed opportunities by both teams, Celje was able to control the game and secure an important victory that brings them closer to the group stage of the competition.
