Buriram United thrashed Prachuap in a dominant performance
Buriram United convincingly defeated Prachuap 7-0 in a Thai League 1 match played at the Chang Arena in Buriram. The home side dominated the match from the start, scoring five goals in the first half and two more in the second.
The match started at a fast pace and Buriram United was quick to open the scoring. S. Jaided, assisted by P. Sukjitthammakul, scored the first goal in the 9th minute. Just five minutes later, P. Hemviboon extended the lead with a goal assisted by Matheus Vargas.
Prachuap tried to react, but Buriram United was solid in defense. A. A. Chegini and S. Thinjom received yellow cards in the 42nd and 43rd minutes, respectively.
In the second half, Buriram United continued to press and Bissoli scored the third goal in the 53rd minute, assisted by J. Tabinas. The home dominance was total, and Bissoli had the opportunity to score his second goal, but his goal was disallowed by VAR in the 57th minute.
However, Buriram United was not satisfied with the rout and T. Bunmathan scored the fourth goal in the 79th minute with an assist from Chrigor. J. Tabinas scored the fifth in the 86th minute, assisted by T. Bunmathan.
Finally, Chrigor sealed the rout in the 89th minute, assisted by K. Dougall.
Buriram United retained possession of the ball (58% compared to Prachuap’s 42%) and made more shots (17 against 11) and corners (6 against 4). Prachuap received three yellow cards, while Buriram United did not receive any.
