FC Botosani defeats AFC Hermannstadt in a thrilling encounter
Sibiu, Romania – FC Botosani secured a 2-1 victory over AFC Hermannstadt in a captivating match at Stadionul Municipal, during the 5th round of Liga I. The game was characterized by intense play and determination from both sides, ultimately decided in the closing moments.
The first half witnessed a back-and-forth battle. FC Botosani broke the deadlock in the 45th minute through Seroni, assisted by Bodisteanu. The second half started with a yellow card for Chica-Rosa from FC Botosani, followed by a disallowed goal for AFC Hermannstadt due to offside. AFC Hermannstadt equalized in the 79th minute with a goal by Stoica, unassisted. However, in the 90th minute, Negut converted a penalty to secure the win for FC Botosani.
