Zulte Waregem Claims Home Victory Over OH Leuven
Waregem, Belgium – Zulte Waregem secured a home win against OH Leuven in a match played at the Elindus Arena, as part of the seventh matchday of the Jupiler Pro League. The home team capitalized on their offensive efficiency to take the victory, while OH Leuven, despite dominating possession, failed to convert their numerous opportunities.
Zulte Waregem opened the scoring early, in the 13th minute, thanks to a goal by T. Claes. They continued to extend their lead in the 38th minute with a goal from Y. Cappelle, assisted by J. Opoku.
OH Leuven enjoyed greater ball possession, 56% compared to Zulte Waregem’s 44%, and generated more goalscoring chances, with a total of 24 shots, although only 5 of them were on target. Zulte Waregem, on the other hand, was more effective, with 7 of their 11 shots directed at the opponent’s goal.
