Yunnan Yukun Secures Victory in Tight Match Against Qingdao Youth Island
Yuxi, China – In a match corresponding to Round 29 of the Chinese Super League, Yunnan Yukun achieved an important home victory against Qingdao Youth Island. The only goal of the match came early, in the 2nd minute, thanks to a precise finish by H. Pedro after an assist from O. Taty Maritu.
While Qingdao Youth Island dominated possession of the ball with 64% compared to Yunnan Yukun’s 36%, they failed to convert their superiority into goals. Despite registering more shots (15 vs. 11) and more corners (7 vs. 4), Yunnan Yukun’s defense remained solid and managed to keep a clean sheet.
The match was characterized by its intensity, reflected in the 12 fouls committed by Qingdao Youth Island and the 10 by Yunnan Yukun. Referee Wei Liu showed four yellow cards during the match, three to Yunnan Yukun players (Nene, Li Songyi, Ma Zhen) and one to Song Haoyu of Qingdao Youth Island.
