Chengdu Better City Dominates Yunnan Yukun in Decisive Victory at Yuxi
Yuxi, China – In a vibrant match held at the Yuxi Plateau Sports Center Stadium, Chengdu Better City secured a convincing victory over Yunnan Yukun. The game, part of the Super League’s 22nd round, delivered a spectacle filled with goals and tense moments.
Chengdu Better City showed their ambition from the start, opening the scoring in the 12th minute with a goal by T. Chow, who also received a yellow card in the same play. Yunnan Yukun responded with a goal by J. Saeter in the 33rd minute, leveling the score and raising expectations for a more balanced match.
However, the joy was short-lived for the home side. A goal by Felipe Silva for Chengdu Better City was disallowed by VAR just before halftime. In the second half, Felipe Silva redeemed himself with two consecutive goals in the 54th and 63rd minutes, both assisted by an inspired Wei Shihao.
Chengdu Better City continued to press and extended their lead with goals from Liao Rongxiang in the 78th minute, assisted by Y. Gurfinkel, and Li Moyu in the 88th minute, again with an assist from Wei Shihao. Liao Rongxiang also received a yellow card shortly after his goal.
Despite having 48% possession and taking 16 shots, Yunnan Yukun couldn’t contain Chengdu Better City’s attack, which dominated the match with 52% possession and 19 shots.
