Beijing Guoan Edges Out Wuhan Three Towns in Thrilling Encounter
Wuhan, China – Beijing Guoan emerged victorious over Wuhan Three Towns with a 4-3 win at the Wuhan Sports Center Stadium in a thrilling match of the 2025 Chinese Super League’s seventh round. The game, officiated by Shuran Gan, was a high-intensity affair with a constant exchange of goals.
Beijing Guoan dominated possession (66%) and created more scoring opportunities (14 shots, 7 on target). F. Abreu was the standout player, involved in three of his team’s goals: scoring one in the 3rd minute and assisting Zhang Yuning (23rd minute) and Yang Liyu (69th minute). Serginho also contributed a goal in the 34th minute, assisted by Guga, who also assisted Abreu’s first goal.
Wuhan Three Towns, despite having less possession (34%), showed great resilience. Palacios pulled one back for the home side in the 31st minute. In a dramatic finish, Wuhan scored three goals in the dying minutes, thanks to strikes from Zhong Jinbao (88th minute), Zhang Zhenyang (90th minute), and Gustavo Sauer (90th minute, penalty). Despite the late comeback, it wasn’t enough to secure a draw.
