Wycombe edges out Wigan in a tight encounter
Wycombe Wanderers defeated Wigan Athletic 1-0 in a close-fought match at The Brick Community Stadium. The only goal of the game came in the 11th minute when J. Low pounced on a pass from D. Harvie to put Wycombe ahead.
The game was characterized by a midfield battle and a flurry of yellow cards. Wycombe received two yellow cards, the first for C. Taylor in the 26th minute and the second for J. Scowen in the 45th minute. Wigan also received two yellow cards, one for L. Robinson in the 56th minute and another for W. Aimson in the 63rd minute.
Despite numerous substitutions from both sides, Wycombe held on to their lead until the final whistle.
