Washington Spirit Defeats Bay FC in Thrilling Match at Audi Field
Washington, D.C. – The Washington Spirit secured a 2-0 victory over Bay FC in an exciting match at Audi Field on March 29th, 2025, as part of the NWSL regular season’s game three. Ashley Hatch starred, netting two goals within the first 27 minutes, assisted by Lauren Santos and Nahomi Miura. Despite having less possession (45%), the Spirit showcased greater attacking efficiency, converting 4 out of their 8 shots on target. Bay FC, with 55% possession, created more chances (10 shots), but only two were on target. The match was intense, featuring 26 fouls and two yellow cards for Washington Spirit (Santos and Hatch).
