Vojvodina Dominates Mladost Lucani in Novi Sad
Vojvodina secured a convincing victory over Mladost Lucani at the Stadion Karađorđe in Novi Sad, in the first matchday of the Serbian Super Liga 2024 Championship Round. The final score of 3-1 doesn’t fully reflect the home team’s dominance.
Vojvodina controlled the game from the start, possessing the ball 59% of the time and registering 17 shots, 6 on target. Goals came early: S. Korac opened the scoring in the 20th minute, and Dele doubled the lead in the 25th minute, assisted by S. Medojevic. Mladost Lucani, with 41% possession, struggled to keep up, managing only 4 shots on target out of their 11 attempts.
The match was punctuated by numerous cards. Mladost Lucani accumulated four yellow cards and a red card for M. Divac in the 55th minute, while Vojvodina received two yellow cards.
