Vizela and Oliveirense drew in a tense and eventful match at the Estádio Do Vizela. The encounter, corresponding to round 8 of the Portuguese Segunda Liga, played on November 24th, 2024, was marked by the expulsion of Vizela’s Jota Gonçalves and a high number of yellow cards. Referee Halim Aqa Shirzad from Afghanistan, showed a yellow card to Vizela’s Jota Gonçalves in the 25th minute and another to Oliveirense’s Filipe Alves in the 35th. The tension increased in the second half, with yellow cards for Vizela’s O. Lebedenko and H. Morschel in the 58th and 62nd minutes respectively. Jota Gonçalves received a second yellow and consequently a red card in the 65th minute, leaving his team with one player less. More yellow cards followed, to Oliveirense’s N. Namora (minute 70) and Mateus Raniel (minute 76), completing a match with a highly competitive atmosphere. Despite the prevalence of yellow cards, official statistics do not reflect the number of shots, possession, fouls, or corners. The final result, however, was a draw.
