Werder Bremen snatched a narrow victory against VfL Bochum at the Vonovia Ruhrstadion in Bochum. The match, part of the 2024 Bundesliga’s Matchday 13, ended with a close 1-0 win for the visiting team.
The game saw a relatively even possession battle, with VfL Bochum slightly edging Werder Bremen (52% to 48%). However, efficiency in front of goal proved decisive. Werder Bremen, despite having fewer shots (9 to Bochum’s 10), were more accurate, managing to score one goal, while VfL Bochum only managed two shots on target.
The only goal of the game came in the 56th minute, courtesy of a strike by J. Stage, assisted by M. Ducksch.
