Eintracht Frankfurt defeated VfL Bochum 3-1 in a thrilling match at the Vonovia Ruhrstadion in Bochum. The game, part of the 2024 Bundesliga’s Matchday 26, saw both teams share possession equally (50% each), but Frankfurt proved more clinical.
Kristensen opened the scoring for Eintracht Frankfurt in the 27th minute, followed by a goal from Bahoya in the 32nd minute. VfL Bochum pulled one back in the 73rd minute through Holtmann, momentarily sparking a comeback. However, Batshuayi sealed the victory for Eintracht with a goal in the 90th minute.
The match was also characterized by a significant number of yellow cards, with three for VfL Bochum (Krauss, Wittek, Bero, Sissoko) and one for Eintracht Frankfurt (Bahoya). Both teams created numerous scoring chances, with Bochum registering 14 shots (6 on target) and Frankfurt 17 (6 on target).
