Venezia and Como played an exciting match at the Stadio Pierluigi Penzo in Venice, for matchday 15 of the 2024 Serie A. The game, refereed by Daniele Doveri, ended in a close 3-2 victory for Venezia. The home side started better, with a goal from Pohjanpalo in the 16th minute, assisted by Nicolussi Caviglia, who later received a yellow card. However, Como responded with an own goal by Candela in the 50th minute, and a goal by Belotti in the 56th, turning the score around. Como had more possession (66%), but Venezia proved more effective, scoring two more goals in the second half. Oristanio scored the equalizer in the 70th minute, and Nicolussi Caviglia had a goal disallowed for offside in the 88th. Despite yellow cards for Fabregas and Sala from Como, and one for Nicolussi Caviglia from Venezia, the match maintained a high intensity until the end. Como had more shots (10 to 8), and both teams had a similar number of fouls. The victory stayed at home thanks to greater effectiveness in front of goal.
