Molde Stages Comeback Victory Over Valerenga in Oslo Thriller
Oslo, Norway – In an exciting match held at the Intility Arena, Molde FK triumphed over Valerenga with a display of offensive prowess. The match, corresponding to the tenth round of the 2025 Eliteserien, began with an early goal by Magnus Eikrem in the 7th minute, assisted by Eirik Breivik, which put Molde in the lead. However, Valerenga responded firmly, turning the score around with goals from Filip Thorvaldsen in the 23rd minute, assisted by Christian Lange, and Felix Ambina in the 42nd minute, assisted by Elias Sorensen.
The second half was a different story altogether. Despite Valerenga’s efforts, Molde regained control of the match. A goal by Martin Daga in the 80th minute, following an assist from Magnus Eikrem, equalized the score. Later, Fredrik Gulbrandsen in the 84th minute, after another assist from Eikrem, sealed the victory for Molde.
Valerenga, despite having 40% possession, made 10 shots, 5 of which were on target, but failed to convert any further goals. Molde, with 60% possession and 18 total shots, 6 of which were on target, demonstrated greater offensive effectiveness. The match was also marked by intensity, with several yellow cards shown to both teams. For Valerenga, Christian Lange received a yellow card in the 60th minute. For Molde, H. Stenevik and M. Enggaard received yellow cards in the 52nd and 58th minutes respectively, and E. Breivik received one in the 90th minute. Referee Tore Hansen controlled the match without major incidents.
