Sepsi OSK Sfantu Gheorghe and UTA Arad Draw in Thrilling Match in Arad
Sepsi OSK Sfantu Gheorghe and UTA Arad played out a thrilling 2-2 draw at the Stadionul Francisc von Neuman in Arad on February 24th, 2025. The match, part of the 28th round of the Romanian Liga I, was a closely fought contest.
Sepsi took the lead in the 37th minute through a goal by D. Harut. However, UTA Arad equalized from the penalty spot in the 59th minute thanks to V. Costache. O. El Sawy put Sepsi back in front in the 62nd minute, but UTA Arad fought back to secure a draw. The game saw several yellow cards: three for Sepsi (A. Dumitrescu, M. Coman, and D. Harut y D. Siger) and one for UTA (K. Mabea). Both teams enjoyed equal possession (50% each), although UTA Arad created more goal-scoring chances with 14 shots (5 on target) compared to Sepsi’s 6 (3 on target).
