CFR 1907 Cluj thrashes Uta Arad in a vibrant match in Arad
CFR 1907 Cluj achieved a resounding 4-1 victory over Uta Arad in a match played at the Stadionul Francisc von Neuman in Arad, corresponding to matchday 26 of the Romanian Liga I. The match, refereed by Istvan Kovacs, was characterized by Cluj’s superiority in possession (55%) and shots (21 shots, 6 on target), compared to Uta Arad’s 7 shots (1 on target).
Cluj’s goals came in the second half. First, Laurențiu Munteanu scored two goals (minutes 48 and 52), both assisted by his teammates. Later, L. Bolgado extended the lead in the 62nd minute, thanks to a pass from M. Korenica. Although Victor Costache pulled one back for Uta Arad in the 75th minute, Stefan Juric sealed Cluj’s victory with a goal in the 89th minute.
Despite the defeat, Uta Arad showed a good attitude, having 7 corner kicks and committing 13 fouls. The home team received a yellow card to R. Tsouka in the 61st minute.
