Thrilling Victory for Sparta Prague in Romania
Craiova, Romania – Sparta Prague secured a valuable victory at Stadionul Ion Oblemenco in an exciting UEFA Europa Conference League match. The encounter, overseen by Belgian referee Jasper Vergoote, saw Sparta Prague prevail with an offensive game, although not without difficulties against a combative Universitatea Craiova.
The first half saw moments of tension, including a yellow card for A. Preciado of Sparta Prague in the 11th minute. Despite dominating possession with 60%, Sparta Prague was surprised when A. Mekvabishvili of Universitatea Craiova, after missing a penalty, managed to score a goal that put the Romanian team ahead on the scoreboard in the 38th minute.

Nsimba scored a goal in the 79th minute, assisted by A. Cretu, making the score 2-1. However, Sparta Prague did not give up, and M. Rynes sealed the victory for the Czech team with a goal in the 89th minute, assisted by A. Preciado.
The match concluded with a couple more yellow cards, one for G. Kuol of Sparta Prague and another for O. Romanchuk of Universitatea Craiova, both in the 90th minute. Despite 40% possession, Universitatea Craiova attempted 6 shots, while Sparta Prague dominated with 15 shots. Sparta Prague demonstrated their superiority on the field and secured a crucial victory in the UEFA Europa Conference League group stage.
