FC Botoșani Surprises Universitatea Cluj on Their Home Turf
Cluj-Napoca, October 18, 2025 – FC Botoșani secured a victory at the Cluj Arena in a hard-fought match corresponding to Round 13 of the Romanian Liga I. The match, officiated by Szabolcs Kovacs, saw Botoșani prevail with an effective attacking game.
Although Universitatea Cluj maintained slightly less possession (49%) than their rival (51%), it was Botoșani who showed greater attacking prowess. The visitors accumulated a total of 21 shots, 10 of which were directed on target, while Cluj only managed one shot on target in their 9 attempts.
