Universitatea Cluj and Dinamo Bucuresti played a thrilling match at the Cluj Arena in Cluj-Napoca on April 12th, 2025, for the fourth matchday of the Romanian Liga I Championship Round. The game, officiated by Marian Barbu, ended with a score of 3-4, in a match that maintained tension until the final whistle.
Universitatea Cluj took the lead at the 14th minute thanks to a goal by I. Macalou, assisted by A. Fabry. However, Dinamo Bucuresti responded quickly, equalizing the score at the 25th minute with a goal by S. Perica. Perica scored again at the 32nd minute, putting his team ahead. Before the end of the first half, Universitatea Cluj managed to equalize with a goal by V. Blanuta (44′) assisted by M. Thiam, and Dinamo responded with a goal by A. Selmani (45′) to leave the score 3-2 at halftime.
The second half continued with more excitement. An own goal by G.B. Simion at the 58th minute put Universitatea Cluj just one goal away from a comeback, but they couldn’t manage to equalize and Dinamo Bucuresti eventually secured the 3-4 victory.
Despite Universitatea Cluj dominating possession with 51%, Dinamo Bucuresti was more effective in shots on target (5 out of 5 shots on target vs 5 out of 8 for Universitatea Cluj), showcasing greater offensive efficiency. Universitatea Cluj had more corner kicks (5-0) and suffered more fouls (12-5) than their opponent. A. Chipciu received a yellow card for Universitatea Cluj.
