Universitario Dominates Possession but Fails to Score Against Solid Garcilaso
Lima, Peru – In a match held at the Estadio Monumental, Universitario maintained a clear dominance of the ball with 75% possession, but failed to translate that superiority into goals. The “crema” team generated 21 shots, of which only two were on target, and earned 7 corners.
Deportivo Garcilaso, on the other hand, opted for a solid defense and an effective counterattack. With 25% possession, they generated two shots that found the opponent’s goal, although they did not manage to score.
