Universitario Dominated Cienciano in a High-Intensity Match
Universitario de Deportes defeated Cienciano in a vibrant match played at the Estadio Monumental in Lima. The “U” demonstrated their superiority from the start and achieved a comfortable 3-1 victory, solidifying their position as one of the strongest teams in the First Division.
The match began at a frantic pace, and Universitario quickly opened the scoring. In the 16th minute, a great pass from Andy Polo set up Mauricio Pérez, who finished with precision to put the score at 1-0. The cream joy multiplied just 19 minutes later when Wilder Riveros received a pass from Jesús Concha and shot powerfully to make it 2-0.
