Universidad de Chile Thrashes Nublense in Vibrant Match at Estadio Nacional
Santiago de Chile witnessed a resounding 5-0 victory for Universidad de Chile against Nublense in a match corresponding to the first round of the 2025 Chilean Primera División season. The match, played on February 15th at the Estadio Nacional Julio Martínez Prádanos under the arbitration of Nicolás Millas, was marked by the blue team’s dominance.
Universidad de Chile overwhelmingly dominated possession (67%) and created numerous scoring opportunities, with 30 shots (14 on target). The goals arrived in the second half: José Altamirano scored at 48′, Leandro Di Yorio at 52′, Lucas Fernández at 63′, Di Yorio again at 69′, and finally Nicolás Guerra sealed the rout at 89′. Fernández missed a penalty at 56′.
Nublense, on the other hand, was outmatched in all aspects of the game. They suffered the expulsion of E. Valencia at 37′ and accumulated three yellow cards. Despite their efforts, they only managed 5 shots (none on target).
