Union La Calera and O’Higgins played an exciting match at the Estadio Municipal Nicolás Chahuán Nazar in La Calera, corresponding to the third round of the 2025 Chilean Primera División. The match, refereed by Francisco Gilabert, ended in a 2-2 draw.
La Calera opened the scoring in the 6th minute with a goal from Carlos Insaurralde. O’Higgins responded quickly, equalizing the match in the 13th minute thanks to a goal from Benjamín Rabello. The second half was even more intense. O’Higgins took the lead with a goal from Juan Díaz in the 66th minute. However, Union La Calera managed to equalize again in the 74th minute with a goal from José Méndez González.
The match was marked by tension, reflected in the multiple yellow cards shown to O’Higgins players (Godoy, Pavez, Leiva, Ogaz, González, Morales) and one to a La Calera player (Lobos). Despite O’Higgins having more possession (52% vs 48%), La Calera generated more shots (12 vs 7), although with less accuracy.
