Pumas advances to the CONCACAF Champions League Round of 16 after defeating Alajuelense
In a match played at the Estadio Olímpico Universitario in Mexico City, Pumas defeated LD Alajuelense 2-0 in the first leg of the CONCACAF Champions League Round of 16, 2025. The match, officiated by M. Penso, was characterized by greater possession for the home side (57%), who converted their goal-scoring opportunities more effectively.
R. Ergas opened the scoring in the 38th minute, while R. Funes Mori sealed the victory in the 73rd minute, assisted by A. Carrasquilla.
