TS Galaxy Edges Amazulu 1-0 in Tight Contest in Nelspruit
Nelspruit, South Africa – TS Galaxy secured a hard-fought 1-0 victory over Amazulu at the Mbombela Stadium on Saturday, December 7th, in a Premier Soccer League match (Round 7, 2024 season). Despite Amazulu controlling possession (62% to TS Galaxy’s 38%), it was the home side that found the back of the net.
The decisive goal came in the 75th minute, courtesy of P. Dithejane, assisted by V. Letsoalo. Although Amazulu registered more shots (12 shots, 6 on target), TS Galaxy proved more clinical in front of goal. The match was a closely fought affair, with both teams committing 12 fouls each. Amazulu enjoyed more corner kicks (6 to 1), however TS Galaxy’s defense held strong. TS Galaxy received two yellow cards, while Amazulu finished the game without any cautions. The referee for the match was Moreki Lekwape from South Africa.
