Viking Secures Victory in Thrilling Match Against Tromsø
Tromsø, Norway – In a hard-fought match at the Romssa Arena, Viking triumphed over Tromsø in a game corresponding to matchday 25 of the Norwegian Eliteserien. Despite dominating possession with 62%, Tromsø failed to capitalize on their ball control.
The match started with an early goal from Tromsø in the 12th minute, courtesy of J. Hjerto-Dahl. However, the home side’s joy was short-lived, as Viking equalized in the 15th minute through a penalty converted by P. Christiansen. The first half ended with a tied score, but with Tromsø taking the initiative in the game. A. S. Kinteh from Tromsø received a yellow card in the 35th minute.
In the second half, Viking came out with a more offensive attitude. In the 64th minute, S. Bjorshol scored a goal, assisted by E. Austbo, putting Viking ahead on the scoreboard. M. Roseth from Viking received a yellow card in the 52nd minute. In the final stretch of the match, in the 87th minute, N. D’Agostino sealed the victory for Viking with another penalty.
Despite having more shots on target (4) than Viking (3), Tromsø failed to convert their opportunities. Viking, on the other hand, made the most of their chances and took all three points home. Referee Espen Eskas officiated the match without major incidents.
