Tractor Sazi and Khalidiya played a thrilling AFC Cup 2024 Round of 16 match at the Sahand Arena in Tabriz on February 18th, 2025. Officiated by Adel Al Naqbi from the United Arab Emirates, the game was a back-and-forth affair. Tractor Sazi took an early lead with goals from A. Hosseinzadeh (15th minute) and T. Strkalj (32nd minute). However, Khalidiya fought back strongly in the second half. M. D. Hasan M. A. scored two crucial goals (59th and 63rd minutes) to turn the game around. M. Torabi pulled one back for Tractor Sazi in the 71st minute, but Khalidiya secured the victory with a late goal from M. Al Romaihi in the 90th minute. The final score was 3-4 in favor of Khalidiya. Despite having slightly more possession (53% for Tractor Sazi) and more shots (14 to 10), Khalidiya proved more clinical in front of goal. F. Ivanovic of Khalidiya received the only yellow card of the match.
