Tottenham Falls at Home to Efficient Aston Villa
London, October 19, 2025 – Tottenham Hotspur suffered a home defeat against Aston Villa in a match played at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. The match, corresponding to the 8th round of the Premier League, saw a more efficient Aston Villa in front of goal take all three points.
Tottenham started strong, taking the lead in the 5th minute with a goal by R. Bentancur, assisted by J. Palhinha. However, Aston Villa reacted and equalized in the 37th minute thanks to M. Rogers.
The second half was equally contested. Aston Villa showed more decisiveness and E. Buendia scored the goal that gave them the victory in the 77th minute, assisted by L. Digne.
