Thrilling Liga MX Final Decided on Penalties After Epic Draw
Toluca, Mexico – In a night to remember, the Estadio Nemesio Diez witnessed a Liga MX final full of drama and emotions between Toluca and Tigres UANL. The match, played on December 15, 2025, culminated in a draw after an incident-packed extra time and a marathon penalty shootout.
Tigres took an early lead thanks to a goal by F. Gorriaran in the 14th minute, assisted by A. Gignac. However, Toluca responded strongly. Helinho equalized in the 40th minute, assisted by F.
