Tokyo Verdy defeated Yokohama FC 2-0 in a match played at the Ajinomoto Stadium in Chōfu, Japan, corresponding to matchday 15 of the 2025 J1 League. Despite having significantly less possession (35% to 65%), Tokyo Verdy proved more clinical in attack. I. Someno opened the scoring in the 36th minute, assisted by K. Saito. In the second half, Yokohama FC received a yellow card for K. Yamada in the 52nd minute, and Tokyo Verdy followed with a yellow card to Y. Arai in the 61st minute. The match was sealed in the closing stages when I. Kumatoriya scored the second goal in the 90th minute, assisted by K. Morita. Despite Yokohama FC’s superiority in possession and shots (10 shots for Yokohama FC versus 5 for Tokyo Verdy), they were unable to break down the Tokyo Verdy defense. Tokyo Verdy also received two additional yellow cards during the game. The referee was Keigo Sendachi.
