Vissel Kobe defeats Tokyo Verdy in a hard-fought match
Vissel Kobe claimed a 2-1 victory over Tokyo Verdy in an exciting match played at the Ajinomoto Stadium in Chōfu. Tokyo Verdy’s only goal came through an own goal by Thuler in the 90th minute, but Vissel Kobe responded with two goals: the first in the 7th minute by T. Yamakawa and the second in the 90th minute, although the latter was not scored by any player.
Tokyo Verdy dominated possession with 64%, but Vissel Kobe was more effective in attack with 7 shots on goal compared to Tokyo Verdy’s 2. Both teams had a similar number of fouls committed, but Tokyo Verdy received a yellow card in the name of Y. Tsunashima in the 88th minute.
