Tigres Stages Epic Comeback Against Monterrey in Tense Match
Monterrey, Mexico – Tigres UANL staged a dramatic comeback to defeat Monterrey 2-1 in a highly charged Liga MX Clausura 2024 match at Estadio Universitario. The game, part of matchday 15, was characterized by high tension and numerous cards, with three Monterrey players and one Tigres player sent off.
The first half saw yellow cards for Aquino (Tigres), Lainez (Tigres), and Ramos (Monterrey). However, the second half exploded with controversy. Lainez received a second yellow and was sent off in the 48th minute. Monterrey took advantage of the numerical superiority, with Ramos scoring a penalty in the 51st minute to take a 1-0 lead.
