Western United and Sydney FC played a thrilling match at the Allianz Stadium in Sydney, which ended with a 4-5 victory for the visitors. Walatee reduced the deficit for Western United in the 47th minute, and Bozinovski equalized the match in the 62nd. Grant put Sydney ahead in the 69th minute, however, Ruhs scored in the 87th to give the win to the visitors. The encounter was characterized by Sydney’s superiority in ball possession (64%), reflected in their 26 shots on goal, but Western United showed great effectiveness, taking advantage of their chances.
