Molde secures narrow victory in Drammen with a lone goal
Molde FK defeated Stromsgodset IF 0-1 in a match played at Marienlyst Stadion in Drammen on December 1st, 2024, corresponding to matchday 30 of the Norwegian Eliteserien. The match, refereed by Marius Lien, was characterized by low efficiency in front of goal for both teams. Despite Stromsgodset having more shots (12 to 8), only four of them were on target, while Molde managed two shots on goal.
The only goal of the game came in the 57th minute, scored by Niklas Møller, assisted by Harald Stengel. Stromsgodset tried to react but found Molde’s defense resolute. The game was interrupted by several fouls, with 10 for the home team and 12 for the visitors, in addition to three yellow cards for Stromsgodset in the final minutes. Despite Molde’s greater possession (53%), the match was hard-fought and with few clear chances. The victory gives Molde three important points in the fight for the league.
