Gillingham and Stevenage Draw in Thrilling Match with Seven Goals in Penalty Shootout
Gillingham and Stevenage played out a thrilling encounter in the EFL Trophy, which ended in a 7-7 draw after an epic penalty shootout.
Gillingham took the lead in the 26th minute through J. Andrews, but Stevenage leveled in the 68th minute through D. Kemp.
The match went to extra time and, after a tense finish, the game was decided in a penalty shootout. Both teams scored seven goals each, but T. Simpson’s final penalty for Stevenage went wide.
