Standard Liege Overpowers Anderlecht in Card-Filled Match
Liege, Belgium – Standard Liege triumphed over Anderlecht at Stade Maurice Dufrasne with a convincing victory. Despite Anderlecht dominating possession with 64% compared to Liege’s 36%, the home side proved more effective in front of goal.
The match, part of the Jupiler Pro League’s 23rd round, was marked by a high number of fouls, 18 by Anderlecht and 10 by Liege, and a total of six yellow cards issued by referee Eric Lambrechts. Standard Liege received two yellow cards, while Anderlecht accumulated four.
