Anderlecht triumphed over St. Truiden in a thrilling match at the Daio Wasabi Stayen Stadium. The visiting team secured a 2-0 victory against a St. Truiden side that, despite having significantly more shots (25 to 10), couldn’t break down the Anderlecht defense.
Both of Anderlecht’s goals were scored by K. Dolberg. The first was a regular goal in the 27th minute, assisted by A. Dreyer, and the second a penalty converted in the 61st minute. St. Truiden enjoyed more possession (49% to 51%), but their lack of clinical finishing proved costly. Zanka’s red card in the 67th minute further hampered the home team’s efforts.
