Celtic Thrashes St Mirren in Thrilling Paisley Encounter
Celtic secured a commanding 6-2 victory over St Mirren in a captivating match at The SMISA Stadium in Paisley. Despite a promising start from St Mirren, who managed to equalize the score at 1-1, Celtic showcased their dominance with 75% possession and superior clinical finishing.
J. Schlupp opened the scoring for Celtic in the 28th minute, but D. John quickly leveled for St Mirren in the 33rd. Before halftime, A. Engels scored a penalty for Celtic (45′). In the second half, K. Phillips added further excitement, scoring for St Mirren in the 48th minute. However, Celtic responded with an offensive display. Yang Hyun-Jun shone with two goals (68′ and 90′), while D. Maeda also contributed to the rout in the 88th minute. St Mirren finished the match with three yellow cards and several dangerous chances.
