Sporting Cristal defeats Universitario in a tense match
Lima, Peru – Sporting Cristal defeated Universitario de Deportes 2-1 in a thrilling match played at the Estadio Nacional de Lima. The match was marked by the intensity and fight of both teams, with several yellow cards and strategic substitutions.
The first goal came in the 29th minute when Gianfranco Cazonatti took advantage of a pass from Santiago González to open the scoring. Sporting Cristal dominated the first half, while Universitario tried to react but without success.
