Vitoria Claims Victory Over Sport Recife in Tense Match
Recife, Brazil – In a vibrant match held at Ilha do Retiro, Vitoria triumphed over Sport Recife with a score of 3 to 1 in a match corresponding to the 35th round of the Brazilian Serie A. Despite dominating possession with 61%, Sport Recife failed to translate their superiority into goals.
Vitoria took an early lead thanks to an own goal by Luan Candido in the 13th minute, followed by a goal from A. Cantalapiedra just two minutes later. Sport Recife reacted and reduced the deficit in the 29th minute with a goal from Pablo, assisted by Matheusinho.
In the second half, Vitoria sealed the match with a goal from Renato Kayzer in the 48th minute, assisted by Erick. The match was hotly contested, with a total of four yellow cards for Sport Recife and one for Vitoria.
